Stanton Englehart: A Life on Canvas

A new book on Durango artist Stanton Englehart, edited by Jules Masterjohn.
.
"A Life on Canvas", a new book on Stanton Englehart's life and artwork is now available at Toh-Atin Gallery! This fabulous and beautiful book is something that any fan of Stanton's is going to want to own. It covers the different eras of his work and includes much of the great philosophy that made Stanton such a favorite of non-art students while he was teaching at Fort Lewis College. This man captures the essence of the Southwest better than any living painter. The showing at the Anasazi Heritage center is, without a doubt, one of the finest art exhibits ever seen in Southwest Colorado. It is up through March, so don't miss it. In the meantime, this book, fresh off the press, is now available. It is published by the Fort Lewis College Foundation, to whom Pat and Stanton have generously donated their publication rights. It also includes a DVD of the film that was produced last year, on Stanton's life. The price of the book and DVD is $ 70.00. We have a wonderful selection of Stanton's paintings in the gallery, and there is a special exhibit of his pieces at Maria's Book Store. "A Life on Canvas" is a wonderful tribute to this outstanding artist.
