Nicola, Tim

Sculpture artist Tim Nicola was born in 1954. He is from Indian Island, Maine, and is a Penobscot Native. His family are basket makers and he grew up carving wood, painting and sketching. In 1980 he moved to Santa Fe New Mexico and attended school at the Institute of American Indian Arts. Tim went on to become a bronze sculpture artist. His distinctive style is fluid, humorous, and expressionistic.
