DAVID ROSALES & THE SUPERSMITH DESIGN TEAM. A number of excellent Navajo silversmiths and lapidary artist create David's designs from a studio in Gallup, New Mexico.
All David Rosales designs are in sterling silver or 14 karat gold. Among the stones used in his pieces are Kingman, Sleeping Beauty and China turquoise, sugilite, lapis lazuli, denim lapis, variscite, black jade and red coral. Pieces can also be set with lab opal, Australian (blue-green) opal and Bisbee turquoise. Australian opal and Bisbee are only set in 14 karat gold. All styles can be ordered in different color combinations and in "cobble" style - in cobble each stone is thicker and stands above the silver much like a cobblestone pathway. Lab opal is opal grown in the laboratory, which takes approximately 10 months. It looks like natural "white" opal, only it is much stronger.
