Petrified Forest Woman, COAJT 8-21

Hello. We modern day folks can only guess what this figure is about, but those lovely round rolls on either side of her face are awfully similar to those on the Hopi women today. All of Jan Thompson's figurative works are taken from petroglyphs and rock art she has seen in her treks through the southwest's canyon lands.
