Sashes
| | Sashes are woven on a narrow belt loom and are generally worn by the Navajo and Pueblo women to cinch in their dresses. | | | | |
Lemuel Harrison is a male Navajo weaver, and he weaves these whimsical pictorial sashes. They often depict the trains of the "old west", running through the desert south west. This weaving style is rooted in history. It was first seen in the late 1800's.
