What lovely colors and patterns surround this Mimbres Bear. The design comes from the Mimbres people who lived in southeast Arizona and southwest New Mexico until approximately 1150 AD. Most of these designs have been left to us on their beautiful pottery. This serigraph is 16 inches by 7 inches, including a 2-1/2 inch mat and frame.

Hello. We modern day folks can only guess what this figure is about, but those lovely round rolls on either side of her face are awfully similar to those on the Hopi women today. All of Jan Thompson's figurative works are taken from petroglyphs and rock art she has seen in her treks through the southwest's canyon lands. This one is 13 inches wide by 15 inches, including the 2-1/2 inch mat and frame, and is priced at $90.
