Very Large Two Grey Hills Weaving, C1084

This large Two Grey Hills style weaving is woven with a heavy, single ply processed yarn and is ideal for use as a floor weaving. The weaving was probably woven in the last ten years and is unusual in that so few large pieces are coming off of the Navajo looms today. It came to us through an estate and, unfortunately, the weaver's name was lost by the original owners. The weaving was never used on the floor and is in mint condition.

Although we refer to this as a Two Grey Hills style because of it's color and geometric pattern, in reality, it is much more detailed than most of the pieces you see from that area. It could have been woven anywhere on the Navajo reservation. This weaving was probably on the loom for at least a year and is an exceptionally high quality piece that would give decades of use as a floor weaving. It would also look great on a large wall! This piece measures 7'1" by 12'1".
