Lizards
This pretty guy, so graceful . . . and wiggly. There are so many here in the southwest - they can't be missed on any cross-country hike, scurrying across your path, or doing pushups on the nearest rock. This serigraph is 9 inches wide by 14 inches, including a 2-1/4 inch mat and frame. It is valued at $70.
Glendora Fragua Daubs is the daughter of Juanita Fragua. They are of the Corn Clan, the very talented family of Jemez potters. This 2 inch egg shaped seed pot is highly detailed, incised sgrafito. Glendora collects her own clay and mineral slips to make and decorate her award winning designs. The lizard and all the geometric designs are perfectly carved, on to a pot that has been fired. This Mimbres lizard has a cabochon of Lapis on its back. Signed with her signature corn stalk with dots on each side.
