This dancing stick is an unusual addition to the gallery. It measures 22 inches and the carving on the handle is exquisite.
The Thunderbird is a very common design in Zuni jewelry. This bolo is a smaller size and it is very beautiful. It measures 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches.
This collectors quality bolo was made by Dennis Edaakie. He is one of the greatest Zuni Silversmiths of all time. This bolo measures 2 1/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches.
Cardinal Bolo. This heavy Cardinal bolo is amazing. It is made with thick silver and is masterfully detailed in the design and concept. It measures 2 1/4 inches by 2 inches at the top and narrows to 1 1/2 at the bottom.
She has been an active potter since the 1970's. Some of her favorite designs include roadrunners, birds, yucca, and rainbows. This pot measures 9 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches.
The Mimbres parrot design is a classic Acoma design. This is a fine piece that measures 9 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter.
Chester's Katsinas are always made with care and precision. This Roadrunner Katsina has corn husk earrings and a wonderful heshi necklace. It stands 13 inches tall.
The Cardinal motif of this Squash Bloosom necklace is delicately made of coral, onyx, and mother-of-pearl. There is one flower center on the naja that is made of the tortoise shell.
Black Mesa black-on-white Bird Effigy replica pottery. The original for this beautiful replica, was found on Black Mesa, Arizona during coal mining mitigation work. The use was for bird effigy vessels is unknown, but the forms appeared at the beginning of the Basketmaker III and went through the Pueblo III times. Effigy pottery figures are still made today in the Pueblos on into Mexico at Casa Garande Mata Otiz.
Birds, butterflies, and mountains are included throughout this weaving, that has a repeated design of a chief blanket. This is a very sophisticated, contemporary interpretation of several different old regional styles. Weaver Tabitha Bitsui has put a lot of artistic design into this 37 inch by 71 inch pictorial style weaving.
Heishi Santo Domingo Necklace- Small shell with coral beads and Abalone birds with sterling silver closure. Measuring 23 inches in length.
Shown is an unusual bolo fashioned in sterling silver and inlaid with turquoise, jet, mother-of-pearl and, possibly, leopard agate, in the shape of a roadrunner. This piece is probably Zuni and is 2-5/8 inches wide by 1-5/8 inches long.
Mirror image Mimbres inspired birds are painted on to the surface of this natural gourd. With the handle and horse hair tassels included the rattle measures 21" long.
Pictured is a Navajo sterling silver belt buckle, with a Quail design. The buckle measures 2 and 3/4 inches by 2 inches. The belt clasp is 1 and 1/4 inches.
"MONTEZUMA QUAIL" is a hand pulled serigraph, so each time the colors are unique. "Thunder Mesa"- Hand painted and etched by Norman Lansing on a green ware pot. It measures 7" in diameter and 2.5" in height and features scenes made with a variety of images and geometric designs combined together.
