Pipestone
Mountain Lion protects us from the North direction and the color of that direction is yellow. This fetish animal is said to have the power of leadership and resourcefulness. The Arrowhead, piece of turquoise and coral provide water, earth and sky elements for the journey.
Rhino carved from pipe stone measures 2 1/4 inches long. Though not a traditional fetish animal, some carvers are create all sorts of animal figures.
"Yei Fetish"- mixed media materials make up this small sculpture. The body is pipestone and stands on a petrified piece of wood. The figure has inlay of turquoise, jet, coral and mother of pearl.
